MAVI STEP Universal Dye Fixative is a professional leather lacquer finish that seals and protects dyed smooth leather, faux leather and textiles. It forms a strong, flexible, clear coating that shields the freshly dyed layer from moisture, dirt, abrasion, scratches and fading, greatly extending the life of a restored item. The lacquer does not affect the leather’s natural softness or breathability and gives it a finished look with an elegant semi-gloss sheen.

It can also be mixed into MAVI STEP Universal Dye or MAVI STEP Express Color in different proportions to adjust the gloss level or shift the color tone. Made from non-toxic organic ingredients, it is easy to use and economical.

Materials: smooth leather, faux leather (leatherette) and textiles, after dyeing with MAVI STEP dyes.
Use on: dyed shoes, boots and sneakers; jackets and coats; bags, wallets and belts; furniture upholstery; car interiors (seats, steering wheels, panels).
Color: clear, semi-gloss finish.
Size: 10 ml (0.34 fl oz), 25 ml (0.85 fl oz), 100 ml (3.38 fl oz).

How to use

1. Make sure the dyed surface is completely dry (1 to 24 hours depending on the dye, layer thickness and conditions).
2. Shake the bottle vigorously for 10–15 seconds.
3. Test on a small hidden area to check the gloss level and make sure the color does not change.
4. Apply a thin, even coat to the dry dyed surface with a clean applicator sponge or soft brush, avoiding drips and excess product.
5. Let the coat dry completely (about 30–60 minutes at room temperature).
6. If needed, for extra protection or a stronger semi-gloss effect, apply a second thin coat and let it dry as well.
7. Once the lacquer has fully dried and cured (leave the item for 12–24 hours), you can nourish smooth leather with MAVI STEP Creme de Beaute.

Caution! The lacquer is a protective finishing coat after dyeing, not a substitute for regular leather care. Do not use on suede, nubuck, velour or other napped materials, as it will mat the fibers. Apply in thin coats: too much product can form a stiff film.

Storage. Keep the bottle tightly closed in a cool, dry place out of reach of children and pets, at +5 °C to +45 °C (41–113 °F), away from direct sunlight and heat.
