MAVI STEP Leather Repair Base is a liquid leather filler for restoring deep scuffs, cracks and scratches on smooth leather items. It fills the damage, penetrates the structure of the material and bonds the fibres together, restoring the integrity of the grain layer. The leather becomes more resistant to further damage.

The filler is white: it must be sanded and then dyed. It is not a stand-alone finishing product.

Material: smooth natural leather, faux leather.
Use on: footwear, outerwear, accessories (bags, belts), furniture upholstery, car interiors, steering wheels.
Color: white (to be dyed).
Volume: 10 ml (0.34 fl oz), covers approx. 1 m² (10.8 sq ft) of repair area.

How to use

1. Remove dust and dirt with a brush (e.g. MAVI STEP Alexandra or MAVI STEP Reagan).
2. Lightly matte the damaged area with the MAVI STEP Abrasive Sponge for better adhesion.
3. Deep-clean with MAVI STEP Total Cleaner and let the item dry completely.
4. Apply a small amount of filler with a MAVI STEP Chamoisine cloth or a brush and spread it in a thin, even layer. For deep cracks, apply 2–3 thin layers, letting each one dry.
5. Let the filler dry completely.
6. Carefully sand the surface smooth with the abrasive sponge and buff with a clean cloth or brush.
7. Dye the area in the right shade and seal the result with MAVI STEP Universal Dye Fixative.

Tip. Without dyeing, the repaired area will stay white. You can match the exact dye shade from a photo with our colour scanner on the home page.

Caution! Test on an inconspicuous area before use. Not for suede, nubuck, velour, textiles, patent leather or reptile skin.
